Soil and Rock Dynamics Department was established to conduct researches in different experimental fields of soil and rock using various laboratorial and in situ tests. The experimental data are further used in soil behavior modeling. Design and manufacturing the necessary equipment are other responsibilities of this department. General programs of Soil and Rock Dynamics Department are:

  • Experimental studies on mechanical behavior of soils, rocks, foundations and geotechnical structures using element testing, physical model testing and full scale testing;
  • Field investigations using engineering geophysics (geoseismic and geoelectric);

Design and manufacturing the required instruments & equipment for IIEES geotechnical laboratory;
