Department of National Data Center
Main Tasks:
The Comprehensive
Test Ban Treaty has been signed by 196 State Parties. For control of nuclear
explosion, the International monitoring system (IMS) has been established under
CTBTO
which consist of 237 seismic,
hydrostatic, infrasound, radionuclide stations and Global Communication
Infrastructure (GCI), International Data Center (IDC) for data processing and
analysis. The other scientific part of CTBTO is related to On-Site Inspection
(OSI). By decree of National High Security Consul of Iran, IIEES has been
assigned to provide scientific needs in connection with the CTBTO. The
Department of National Data Center (DNDC) has been established to cover the NDC
activity and participation in OSI programs.
Programs:
-
Installation,
Operation and Maintenance of the seismic stations of the International
monitoring system in Iran
-
Installation,
Operation and management of National Data Center (NDC)
-
Discrimination
of natural and artificial events using signal processing methods
-
Participation
in On-Site Inspection (OSI) programs
-
Scientific
representation of Iran in different parts of CTBTO
