Preliminary Report of Bam Earthquake

At 5:26 AM on 26 December 2003, an earthquake shake a large area of the Kerman province. The epicenter of the devastating earthquake is located at 29.01ºN – 58.26ºE, 10 km, South-West of Bam City. The preliminary magnitude estimated as Ms=6.5. IIEES has sent two groups of experts to study the effect of the earthquake in this area. In order to study the aftershocks a group of seismic stations has been sent to the area. The location of  Temporary Seismic  Network is shown in the map with triangle (Table 1).
