Geological and Geotechnical Hazards Department has been established to study geological phenomena related to earthquakes, seismic behavior of rock and soil masses, urban development in hazard zones, land subsidence and preparing the relevant necessary engineering geological data and maps needed in various hazard zonation and microzonation projects.
