First IEM-IIEES-RCECWA-IEEA Joint Webinars “Myanmar Earthquake and its Revelation on Disaster”

Institute of Engineering Mechanic, China Earthquake Administration (IEM), International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology (IIEES), Regional Education and Research Center on Earthquake Risk Management and Resilience for West and Central Asia (RCECWA), Iranian Earthquake Engineering Association (IEEA) and United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) have started a scientific collaboration on “New Technologies for Earthquake Risk Reduction” for urban infrastructure systems, which is a macro-issue involving many research topics. In this line and based on IIEES-IEM MoU Dated August 2024, a series of webinars have been outlined to share research experiences in earthquake engineering, seismic isolation, AI application in earthquake engineering, new materials, system approach to urban resilience, safe and resilience hospitals and schools, etc. The first webinar entitled "Myanmar Earthquake and its Revelation on Disaster Reduction" will be organized on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
