On Monday, August 3, 2026, a meeting was held with the participation of Prof. Hamid Sadegh-Azar, Head of the Institute of Structural Analysis ad Dynamics at the University of Kaiserslautern in Germany and Chair of the 18th Conference on Earthquake Engineering; Dr. Kambod Amini-Hosseini, IIEES and RCECWA President; Dr. Mahmood Hosseini, Professor of Eastern Mediterranean University; and Dr. Yasamin Izadkhah, a faculty member of IIEES.
During the meeting, the capabilities of IIEES, and the UNESCO Regional Center (RCECWA) were introduced. Opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest including organizing specialized training courses and joint webinars, as well as developing relevant joint research projects were discussed and explored.
At the end of the meeting, the guests visited IIEES laboratory facilities in the fields of structural engineering and geotechnical engineering.
