The initiative is a joint effort between the Tehran Disaster Management Organization and the International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology (IIEES).<br \/>\nDuring a meeting on June 1, the two institutions signed a cooperation agreement regarding the system\u2019s deployment. Ali Nasiri, head of the Tehran Disaster Management Organization, emphasized that the goal goes beyond issuing alerts: \u201cWe aim to improve the overall safety of the capital,\u201d he said, noting that the project began years ago in collaboration with Japanese experts.<br \/>\nNasiri also highlighted the challenges of coordinating among agencies, which he described as more complex than technical aspects. Despite this, he expressed hope that the completed system would serve as a model for other major cities.<br \/>\nKambod Amini-Hosseini, President of IIEES, warned that inaccurate alerts could have serious consequences and stressed the importance of precision.
